Ivy Wang specializes in bridging between the disciplines of urban design and policy, bringing her prior experience as a lawyer and land use policy researcher to climate and resiliency projects at Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol Studio. She has co-authored publications evaluating the impact of recent streamlining legislation on the permitting of affordable housing developments across California and researched land use and permitting processes for projects commissioned by the California Air Resources Board, California Department of Housing and Community Development, and NYU’s Terner Center for Housing Innovation.
As an urban designer, Ivy has worked on projects at multiple scales around the San Francisco Bay Area at the concept design phase and to support agency approvals. Having previously worked as an attorney representing underserved communities before courts, legislators and policymakers, Ivy is adept at managing teams to deliver work on deadline and is skilled at public and stakeholder engagement, able to translate complex issues across a range of audiences.
